AutoCAD Draughtsman

Develop detailed 2D and 3D drawings, models, and layouts using AutoCAD software for

machinery, steel products, and export projects.

Handle design enquiries from overseas customers, prepare technical drawings for

quotations, and incorporate feedback on specifications, dimensions, and feasibility.

Coordinate with design, production, sales, and planning teams to ensure drawings align with

costing, manufacturing processes, and delivery commitments.

Update and revise drawings for order confirmation, pre-shipment inspections, and

modifications based on production status or customer changes.

Prepare drawing packages including blueprints, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and annotations for

export documentation, ensuring compliance with international standards.

Conduct quality checks on drawings for accuracy, tolerances, and fabrication feasibility

maintain organised drawing files and project documentation.

Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve design issues and support market research by

providing technical visuals for new product opportunities.

Assist in customer support by updating drawings for complaints or post-delivery

modifications.

Candidate Profile

Diploma or a graduate in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or related field; certification in

AutoCAD preferred.

3-7 years of experience in AutoCAD drafting, ideally in engineering, manufacturing, or the

steel/capital equipment industry.

Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D/3D modelling), MS Office, and ERP/CRM software; knowledge of

manufacturing processes a plus.

Strong understanding of technical drawing standards, GD&T, and export-related specs (e.g.

INCOTERMS visuals).

Excellent communication skills (English); willingness to travel internationally for site

measurements or client meetings.
