Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement export strategies and plans for target countries/regions to achieve sales and profitability targets for Steefo products.
  • Handle overseas customer enquiries, prepare techno-commercial offers/quotations, and negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Coordinate with design, production, and planning teams for feasibility, costing, and delivery commitments for export orders.
  • Manage complete export order cycle: order confirmation, proforma invoice, advance/payment follow-up, production status, pre-shipment inspection, and dispatch.
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of export documentation (commercial invoice, packing list, LC documents, bill of lading/airway bill, COO, inspection certificates, insurance etc.).
  • Coordinate with CHA, freight forwarders, shipping lines, transporters, and banks for smooth shipment and documentation under various INCOTERMS.
  • Monitor international trade regulations, export incentives and schemes (duty drawback, RoDTEP etc.), and ensure compliance with export and customs requirements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with overseas clients, agents, distributors, and visit key markets when required for business development.
  • Conduct market research on competitors, pricing, and new market opportunities; provide regular MIS and sales forecasts to management.
  • Handle customer complaints, claims, and post-shipment issues in coordination with service, quality, and logistics teams.
  • Candidate Profile / Qualifications
  • Graduate / Postgraduate in Commerce / Business / International Trade / Engineering; diploma in Export-Import / International Business preferred.
  • 5–10 years of experience in export marketing/exports management, preferably in capital equipment/engineering / steel industry.
  • Strong knowledge of export procedures, INCOTERMS, LC, bank documentation, customs, export incentives, and international logistics.
  • Excellent communication (written and spoken English), negotiation, and presentation skills; additional foreign language will be an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, email, and experience with ERP/CRM/export documentation software.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required and ability to work independently to develop new markets.
  • Working Conditions
  • Full-time, office-based at Moraiya with occasional domestic and international travel.
  • Salary: As per company norms and candidate’s experience.
