Role Overview
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, and maintain microservices using Go with a focus on reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
- Architect and evolve distributed systems patterns including service discovery, circuit breaking, retries, and consistent data distribution.
- Develop and maintain APIs (RESTful API and gRPC) and ensure backward compatibility and proper versioning strategies.
- Integrate with message brokers and streaming platforms for asynchronous workflows and event-driven architecture.
- Work with containerization and orchestration technologies to deploy and operate services in production (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Implement observability: logging, metrics, tracing, and alerts to ensure system health and fast troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, deliver features, and perform root cause analysis for incidents.
- Write comprehensive unit and integration tests, and participate in code reviews and continuous improvement of coding standards.
- Optimize performance and resource utilization for low-latency, high-throughput services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of professional experience developing backend services using Go in production environments.
- Proven experience designing and operating microservices and distributed systems at scale.
- Strong understanding of concurrency, synchronization, and Go runtime behavior (goroutines, channels).
- Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Experience with message-driven architectures and stream processing (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Familiarity with observability tools and practices including metrics, tracing, and logging.
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases and data modeling for service-oriented architectures.
- Solid knowledge of networking fundamentals, security best practices, and performance tuning techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in an agile, collaborative team environment.
