Reporting Structure
The role will report to the Head – TPSDI and will work closely with Operations, Academics, Content
Corporate Safety, IT, HR, and Centre teams across TPSDI locations.
Position Summary
The Group Head – Assessment will be responsible for leading and strengthening the end-to-end
assessment ecosystem across TPSDI centres and projects. The role will drive the design, planning
execution, governance, quality, and continuous improvement of assessment systems aligned to
competency-based skilling frameworks, safety standards, and industry requirements.
The incumbent will work closely with Content Development, Academics, SMEs, Corporate Safety
Operations, IT, and Centre teams to ensure assessments are robust, standardised, technology-enabled
and outcome-oriented. The role will also focus on building assessment integrity,>
Build and maintain a pool of internal and external assessors on an honorarium basis
Coordinate Training of Assessors (ToA) programmes for assessor capability building and
standardisation
Evaluate assessor performance and maintain assessment quality benchmarks
Collaborate with Tata Power business units and external experts for strengthening assessor
capability and domain expertise
Data Analytics & Insights
Analyse assessment performance data across centres, courses, trainers, and candidate groups
Conduct causal analysis of assessment outcomes and identify trends, gaps, and improvement
opportunities
Develop actionable insights and improvement recommendations for training delivery
curriculum, and operational effectiveness
Present periodic MIS, dashboards, and analytical reports to management
Feedback & Continuous Improvement
Collect and analyse candidate feedback, trainer feedback, and assessor observations
Work closely with training and operations teams to improve learning effectiveness and
assessment outcomes
Support continuous improvement initiatives through structured review mechanisms and>
o HR / Administration
o Skill development ecosystem
Experience in competency-based assessment systems, vocational education, or large-scale
operations management will be preferred.
