Role Overview
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic
- Responsible for preparation of Concept Note, basic study, DPR, design basis reports, technical specification, technical evaluation, DCDR etc. within defined time cycle.
- Responsible for detailed engineering after PO placement and release of Construction Drawings & Documents
- Release of As built drawings to site after project completion.
- Engineering support to project team during execution of project
- Responsible for Contract disputes during execution
- Responsible for Changes in Technical specs with the inputs from Engg CAPA, DCDR and Lessons Learnt
- Review and approval of Engg CAPEX PRs in SAP
- To extend technical support to Business development team for any new deal/ assignment
- Operational
- Responsible for providing technical support to operating divisions as & when required with regard to breakdowns of running equipment, root cause analysis and modifications to improve the reliability of operating plant.
- Responsible for providing solution to Site / Project commissioning group for the raised query / clarification as and when required or whenever there is any engineering related issue. To issue the clarification / solution to the project site post resolution of raised concern.
- To ensure safety aspects while designing.
- To explore new vendors for supply of electrical equipment.
- To explore modern technologies from various OEMs/ platforms and implementation of the same after due diligence.
- To get updated about revised standards/ regulations/ guidelines issued by respective authorities.
- Financial
- Responsible for Cost optimization in design/ engineering and energy savings scheme with help of modern technology and innovative approaches.
- Continual improvement in design with help of lesson learnt to enhance the cost savings.
- People
- Capability development of Team through technical training and technical discussions.
- To conduct Workshop/ Knowledge sharing sessions to internal stakeholders.

Experience
Bachelor’s in engineering (Electrical)
>20 years of experience in PowerGen industry.
