Key Responsibilities
- Commissioning & Setup
- Oversee installation and commissioning of noodle production lines, utilities, and related equipment.
- Work closely with OEM technicians to ensure correct calibration, alignment, and handover of machinery.
- Develop startup SOPs for all key machines and utility systems.
- Maintenance & Repairs
- Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults promptly to minimize downtime.
- Maintain spares inventory and maintenance records.
- Process Optimization
- Adjust and fine-tune machine parameters to achieve desired product specifications (texture, thickness, drying profile, etc.).
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives on equipment efficiency, uptime, and yield.
- Apply Six Sigma (Green Belt) tools to reduce defects and process variability.
- Team & Compliance
- Recruit and train local maintenance technicians and fitters.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards during all engineering work.
- Collaborate with production and quality teams on technical troubleshooting and line efficiency improvement.
- Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory).
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification
- Hands-on experience in maintenance, ideally in noodle, pasta, snack, or spice manufacturing industries.
- Strong understanding of electromechanical systems, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, dryers, and packaging machinery.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and troubleshoot PLC-based systems (basic level preferred).
- Fluency in Gujarati and English.
- Willingness to be on-site full-time at the Kheda factory and work during non-standard hours during commissioning.
