Role Overview

Designation / RoleOverview

Key Responsibilities

Product Design & Development

* Design and develop electromechanical subsystems for diagnostic devices. * Build prototypes and proof-of-concept systems. * Develop mechanisms involving: * Precision motion control * Linear and rotary actuation * Sample handling systems * Fluid dispensing and manipulation * Automated laboratory workflows * Optimize designs for manufacturability, reliability, and cost.

Mechanical Engineering

* Design parts and assemblies using CAD software. * Develop mechanisms involving: * Motors * Bearings * Gears * Lead screws * Belt drives * Precision alignment systems * Create engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation. * Interface with machining and fabrication vendors.

Electronics & Embedded Systems

* Develop and integrate electronic subsystems. * Select and evaluate: * Sensors * Actuators * Microcontrollers * Motor drivers * Power electronics * Prototype using platforms such as: * STM32 * ESP32 * Arduino * Raspberry Pi * Participate in PCB design and testing.

Controls & Automation

* Develop automation workflows and control logic. * Implement: * Closed-loop control systems * Motion control systems * Sensor feedback systems * Calibration routines * Improve system repeatability and precision.

Instrumentation & Testing

* Design validation and performance testing protocols. * Conduct: * Reliability testing * Stress testing * Calibration studies * Failure analysis * Root-cause investigations * Document engineering results and design changes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

* Work with software teams on hardware-software integration. * Work with imaging teams on optical and camera integration. * Work with clinical and scientific teams to translate user requirements into engineering specifications. * Support regulatory documentation and product verification activities.

Desired Qualifications Education

* B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech. in: * Mechatronics Engineering * Mechanical Engineering * Robotics * Electronics & Instrumentation * Biomedical Engineering * Related disciplines

Experience

* 2–8 years of relevant industry or research experience. * Exceptional fresh graduates with strong project portfolios may also be considered.

Skills

Strong experience in several of the following areas

Mechanical Design * SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Creo, CATIA, or equivalent * Precision mechanical systems * Rapid prototyping * CNC and fabrication processes * Tolerance analysis

Electronics

* Sensor integration * Analog and digital electronics * Embedded systems * PCB design exposure * Signal conditioning

Programming

* Python * C/C++ * Embedded programming * Hardware automation scripting

Controls

* PID control * Motor control * Automation systems * Data acquisition

Instrumentation

* Cameras and imaging systems * Optical sensors * Laboratory instrumentation * Fluidics and microfluidics (preferred)

Preferred Experience
