Key Responsibilities
- Ensure Snowflake environments, workloads, and pipelines are running smoothly with high availability.
- Provide rapid troubleshooting and resolution for production issues in Snowflake, AWS, and EKS environments.
- Use Python to build automation tools that accelerate existing data engineering and operational processes.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to manage Snowflake and supporting cloud resources.
- Use GitLab for version control, CI/CD, and deployment automation.
- Monitor system health, performance, and alerts using Datadog and take proactive action.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for new enhancements, performance tuning, and solution design.
- Maintain ServiceNow tickets, incident documentation, and change management compliance.
- Independently execute tasks, drive improvements, and deliver high-quality outcomes with minimal oversight.
- Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on expertise in Snowflake (Snowpark, SQL, database design, schemas).
- Solid understanding of AWS services related to Snowflake ecosystem.
- Experience with EKS and cloud-native workloads.
- Proficiency in Python for automation, tooling, and pipeline enhancement.
- Experience with GitLab for CI/CD and source code management.
- Hands-on experience with IaC frameworks.
- Ability to monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize systems using Datadog.
- Experience working in production support environments with quick turnaround expectations.
- Knowledge of ServiceNow for incident, problem, and change management.
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and strong ownership mindset.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in distributed systems or microservices running on Kubernetes/EKS.
- Prior experience in SRE or production support engineering roles.
- Familiarity with observability tooling, cost optimization, and Snowflake best practices
